What should I expect at my appointment?

Intake form: When you arrive at the office, you will be asked to fill out a brief medical history questionnaire to ensure there is no pre-existing condition that would influence your session.

Information: The therapist will then give you an overview of your session based on the needs you have specified. Feel free to ask any questions about your session or discuss any concerns with your therapist. Remember: this is your massage!

Settling In: The therapist will leave the room so that you may undress to your comfort level and lie comfortably under the sheet and blanket on the table. Except for the region the therapist is working on, you will remain covered the entire time. The therapist will announce when she will enter the room to begin the massage.

Relax: Please inform your therapist of any changes that need to be made in temperature of the room, light level and sound level. Then, relax and enjoy! Good communication is essential to make sure you enjoy your session to the fullest, so be sure to tell your therapist when you would like more or less pressure at any time during your massage. If you say nothing (or snore) then your therapist will assume you are enjoying the session.
